Demo of Window Properties in the IR

in IR Imaging,Infrared Basics

Those who understand physics and optics usually have had some training and studied the optical properties of materials. Still, most others do not have that advantage. A good demonstration might make them seek more information on the subject.

Here’s a YouTube video posted by the Infrared Training Center, a part of the FLIR Systems. The video is a part of the YouTube series by Extech Instruments, a FLIR Systems subsidiary.

If the video doesn’t come up quickly enough for you, try the direct link to it on the YouTube web site at: www.youtube.com/watch?v=YFQ49dssMuk

Extech and FLIR have about 24 different videos online as of December 9, 2009 covering many more topics in the measurement field, beyond Infrared and mostly about the products, technologies and uses of their products, as one might expect.
